Farmland has practically disappeared from the municipal distinct of Barcelona, covering just 0.32% of its municipal territory. The surviving agricultural lands are limited to the irrigated fields of Rec Comtal and a few dry-farm vineyards in Collserola. There are also a few vegetable gardens left in private estates and a number of municipal allotments for the general public.
